One of the main challenges of Mwema is technical and economic sustainability and self-management. For this reason several projects to generate income have been evaluated. The computer school is the first project to be opened since June 2008. It also gives Mwema children basic computer training which may facilitate their future development.

   

Thanks to the donation of computers made by the NGO Médicos del Mundo Spain, which is working in the local area, together with the donation from the High View Hotel, Mwema has been able to open the classroom. It is located in the heart of the town and run by the management team of Mwema. There is a computer teacher training different groups of students on basic programs, the internet etc.

    The computer school also provides printing and typing services for people in the community who don’t have computer access, charging only a minimum for these services.
